Supabets App South Africa Review 2026: Download, Bonus and Play Vegas

The Supabets app is one of the most popular in South Africa, and it is built around the two things Supabets does best: lucky numbers and Play Vegas games sitting right next to a full sportsbook. It holds a Mpumalanga Economic Regulator bookmaker licence under Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd, so you are betting with a regulated SA operator. The app is data-free, the download is a direct APK, and the Welcome Bundle gives you a R50 free bet, 100 free spins and up to R5,000 across your first three deposits.

To see where Supabets sits among the other licensed operators, read our guide to the best betting apps, which rates all twelve.

How to download the Supabets app

Supabets keeps the download simple, and the whole app is data-free, so getting it and using it does not eat your bundle. Google does not allow real money betting apps in the Play Store, which is why the Android app is downloaded from Supabets directly. The App Store and Huawei versions are not live yet.

Android

Go to the download page on the Supabets site and tap the Android banner to get the app file. Your phone then asks you to install it, and once that is done the Supabets icon appears on your home screen. If the install does not start, turn on “Allow Unknown Sources” in your phone settings and try again. You can switch that back off once the app is on. The three steps take a minute or two.

iPhone and Huawei

Supabets lists the App Store and Huawei AppGallery versions as coming soon, so there is no iPhone or Huawei app to install yet. Until they land, open supabets.co.za in Safari or your Huawei browser and add it to your home screen. You get the same account, the same markets and the same Play Vegas games that way.

The Supabets Welcome Bundle and promotions

The Welcome Bundle is the sign-up offer, and it comes in three parts. New customers get a R50 free bet and 100 free spins to start, then a run of deposit bonuses worth up to R5,000. The deposit match lands like this: 100% up to R2,000 on your first deposit, 50% up to R1,000 on your second, and 100% up to R2,000 on your third.

Read the up-to part the way you would with any bookmaker. The full R5,000 is the top of a matched offer you only reach by depositing and betting through all three stages, and each part carries its own wagering terms. Most people take a slice of it rather than the lot. The R50 free bet and the 100 free spins are the registration part of the bundle, listed under Registration on the promotions page.

Where Supabets is strong is the promotions that keep running after the welcome. There is 10% cashback and a losing leg refund on your multis, a 125% multi-bet bonus that grows with every leg you add, 1UP, 2UP and 3UP early payouts, and an Aviator Rain promo that drops free bets into the game. On the tournament side, Midweek Madness and the Play Vegas prize pools run into the millions. Promotions change week to week, so check the promotions tab in the app before you deposit.

• Midweek Madness: a monthly prize pool of R800,000 to R1 million, running Tuesday to Thursday.
• Weekend Madness: a R100,000 monthly pool from Friday to Sunday.
• Jackpot Race: a R600,000 pool on Friday nights.
• Aviator Rain: R200,000 in free bets dropped into the game on Tuesday evenings.
• Play Vegas pools: Spin & Win and the slot tournaments run prize pools into the millions across the month.

How to sign up on Supabets

Opening an account takes a few minutes on your phone. Do the steps in this order and your first withdrawal will not be held up later.

• Register: tap Register on the app or the site, enter your details and your SA ID number, and confirm the code Supabets sends to your phone.
• FICA: by law Supabets has to verify your identity. The How to FICA guide in the help centre walks you through it, and doing it up front means your winnings pay out without a wait.
• Deposit and claim: make your first deposit to trigger the 100% match up to R2,000. The R50 free bet and 100 free spins sit under Registration in the Welcome Bundle.
• Find a branch if you prefer cash: the Store Locator shows Supabets shops near you, where you can pay in over the counter.

If you get stuck at any step, the contact centre is open around the clock, and an email gets a reply in about five minutes.

Sports betting on the Supabets app

Local diski leads the sportsbook, with the PSL and the big European leagues at the top, then cricket, tennis, horse racing and racing specials. Live betting lets you back a game as it plays, and there is live streaming on selected matches so you can watch and bet in the one app.

Cash Out is built in, so you can take a return before a game finishes rather than sweating the final whistle. The odds hold up well on the mainstream markets, and the app stays quick because it is built to use light data. That last point matters on a cheap phone or a tight bundle.

Play Vegas, Aviator and lucky numbers

Play Vegas is where Supabets pulls ahead of a plain sportsbook. The full suite sits inside the app: slots, table games, live dealer tables with a real dealer in real time, and the crash games led by Aviator. A licensed SA bookmaker can offer all of this because it runs as betting games under the bookmaker licence, the same legal route as lucky numbers.

Lucky numbers and instant games are the other half of the draw, and they are what a lot of South Africans open Supabets for in the first place. Aviator has its own promotion in Aviator Rain, which drops free bets into the game on set days. One thing worth saying plainly: any tool sold as an Aviator predictor is a scam. Every round is random and no app can call it in advance.

Deposits and withdrawals

Supabets takes deposits inside the app, and its own FAQ walks through topping up with vouchers, which you can buy with cash at thousands of shops. Because it runs its own branches, you can also pay in over the counter, and the Store Locator on the site finds your nearest one. The deposit page shows every other method open to your account.

Withdrawals go back to your bank by EFT, or as cash through FNB eWallet, Standard Bank eWallet, a cardless ATM code or a 1ForYou voucher, so you do not need a bank card to get paid. Supabets has to have you FICA verified before the first one goes through, so get the ID upload done when you open the account. If a payment ever sticks, the 24/7 contact centre sorts it by email, phone or callback.

Is the Supabets app legal in South Africa?

Yes. Supabets is licensed by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator under bookmaker licence 9-2-1-00055, held by Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd, and the number sits in the footer of the site. Licences in South Africa come from the nine provincial boards rather than one national body, and Mpumalanga is one of the busiest for bookmakers.

The minimum age for an account is 18, and SA law does not tax winnings from a licensed bookmaker. The Play Vegas slots, tables and Aviator all run under that same bookmaker licence as betting games, which is how a licensed bookmaker can offer them. A site with no SA licence at all is the one to avoid, and Supabets is a long way from that.

Supabets against Betway and Hollywoodbets

Supabets, Betway and Hollywoodbets are three of the apps South Africans pick between. This is how Supabets lines up on the points that decide it.

Swipe sideways on a phone to see the whole table.

Supabets is the one to hold if lucky numbers and Play Vegas are your thing and you want the app to be light on data. Betway wins on the sportsbook and its tools, and Hollywoodbets wins the no-deposit start. Plenty of players keep more than one.

Pros and cons

What Supabets gets right

• Data-free app: the whole app is zero-rated, so betting does not come off your bundle.
• Lucky numbers and Play Vegas: the two things SA players open Supabets for, next to a full sportsbook.
• Real Welcome Bundle: a R50 free bet and 100 free spins up front, plus up to R5,000 in deposit matches.
• Strong ongoing promos: 10% cashback, losing leg refunds, a 125% multi-bet bonus and Aviator Rain.
• Cash over the counter: pay in at a Supabets shop if you would rather use cash than a card.

Where it falls short

• No iPhone or Huawei app yet: both are listed as coming soon, so for now those users play in the browser.
• The R5,000 is staged: you only reach the full amount across three deposits, each with its own terms.
• Android needs a settings change: unknown sources has to be on to install the APK.

Who the Supabets app suits and who should look elsewhere

Supabets suits the player who wants lucky numbers, instant games and Aviator as much as the sport, and who is watching their data on a cheap phone. The data-free app and the quick, light games are built for exactly that. It suits anyone who likes to pay in with cash at a shop too.

Look elsewhere if you are on an iPhone and want a real app rather than the browser, because that is not live yet. Look elsewhere too if a single big cash welcome is what you are after, since Betfred and World Sports Betting hand you more in one lump. Our best betting apps in South Africa comparison lays out the alternatives.

Our verdict

Supabets is one of the best apps in South Africa for the player who lives on lucky numbers, instant games and Aviator, and the data-free build makes it easy on a tight bundle. The Welcome Bundle is a genuine one, with a free bet and free spins on top of the deposit matches. The one real gap is the missing iPhone and Huawei apps, which keeps it at 4.4 out of 5 for now. Fix that and it climbs. For an Android player who loves the numbers and the Play Vegas games, it is an easy account to open.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Supabets app on the Google Play Store?

No. The Play Store does not allow real money betting apps, so Supabets gives Android users a direct APK download from its own site. It is data-free to download and to use.

Is there a Supabets app for iPhone?

Not yet. Supabets lists the App Store and Huawei versions as coming soon. Until they land, iPhone and Huawei users open the site in the browser and add it to the home screen.

What is the Supabets welcome offer?

The Welcome Bundle gives new customers a R50 free bet, 100 free spins and up to R5,000 in deposit bonuses across the first three deposits, at 100%, 50% and 100%.

Can I play Aviator on Supabets?

Yes. Aviator sits in the Play Vegas section alongside the slots and live tables, and Supabets runs it as a betting game under its bookmaker licence. Steer clear of any Aviator predictor, the rounds are random and predictors are a scam.

Is Supabets legal in South Africa?

Yes. Supabets holds Mpumalanga Economic Regulator bookmaker licence 9-2-1-00055 under Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd, listed in the footer of its site.
