About Best Betting Apps

Best Betting Apps is a South African site about one thing: the betting apps run by licensed SA bookmakers, and which of them is worth putting on your phone. We cover how to download and install each app, how the login works, what the welcome offer really is, what the casino and Aviator side looks like, and how you get money in and out. Everything on the site is written for a punter in South Africa with a phone in their hand.

Why this site exists

Most of the pages you find when you search for a betting app in South Africa were written somewhere else, for somebody else, and copied onto a South African site. They quote a welcome bonus that changed a year ago. They tell you to get an app from the Google Play Store when Google does not allow real money betting apps at all. They list a bookmaker as licensed without ever having looked at the licence. Some of them describe a UK app to South African readers who cannot use it.

We built this site to do the job properly. Every fact on it was read off the bookmaker’s own website, on a South African connection, and we say when we looked. When we could not confirm something, we say that too, rather than filling the gap with a guess.

What we cover

  • The apps themselves. Which phones each one works on, where the real download lives, and what to do when the install fails.
  • Welcome offers. The real figure, the real terms, and whether the bookmaker publishes them or hides them behind a banner.
  • Licences. The provincial board and the licence number for every bookmaker we list.
  • Aviator and the casino side. What each app offers, and how it is legal on a licensed SA bookmaker.
  • Deposits and withdrawals. Every route the bookmaker lists, including the ones that work without a bank card.
  • The comparison. Our guide to the best betting apps in South Africa puts every licensed app side by side.

What we do differently

  • We read the bookmaker’s own site. Their help pages, their banking pages, their terms and their footer. Not another review.
  • We check on a South African connection. A lot of bookmaker pages only show the real content to an SA visitor on a phone.
  • We check the licence every time. If a bookmaker does not hold a South African provincial licence, it does not go on the site.
  • We name what we could not confirm. A gap is a fact too. We would rather tell you a bookmaker hides its bonus terms than invent a number.
  • We include at least one honest flaw in every review. No app is perfect and a review that says otherwise is an advert.

What we do not do

  • We do not take bets. We are not a bookmaker and we hold nobody’s money.
  • We do not give tips or tell you what to back.
  • We do not list bookmakers without a South African licence.
  • We do not sell positions on the site. No bookmaker can pay to move up the list.
  • We do not collect your information. There is no form to fill in and no account to open.

Who writes it

Our editorial team. We are independent of every bookmaker on this site. Nobody pays us to write a review, nobody sees a page before it goes live, and no bookmaker has ever been asked to approve a word. How we check, rate and correct things is set out on our editorial policy and our how we rate betting apps page.

How we make money

We earn a commission when somebody opens a bookmaker account through one of our links. You pay nothing extra for it, and your odds, your bonus and your account are exactly the same as if you had gone straight to the bookmaker. That commission does not decide the order bookmakers appear in or the rating they get. If it did, this site would be no better than the ones it was built to replace. The full detail is on our affiliate disclosure.

Found a mistake, or a bookmaker that has changed something? Email info@bestbettingapps.co.za. If you can send the page on the bookmaker’s own site that shows it, even better, because that is what we will use to fix it.
